Alcoholic Abuse


Slurred or incoherent speech, poor balance and clumsiness, delayed reflexes, stomach pains, vomiting or nausea, loss of consciousness or blacking-out and redness of the face during or after periods of consumption are the symptoms of alcohol abuse.

Tests to diagnose: 

Alcoholic abuse doesn’t have any particular diagnostic test, the doctor  would be able to find out only through series of questions.


Detoxification and withdrawal, counseling and three medications have been FDA–approved for treating alcohol dependence: naltrexone, acamprosate, and disulfiram
