Hernia

Symptoms: 

Symptoms include:

  • Swelling/Buldge beneath the skin of the abdomen or the groin
  • Constipation or blood in the stool
  • Heartburn and upper abdominal pain.
Tests to diagnose: 

A hernia may be diagnosed using X-rays and diagnostic tests such as endoscopy and esophageal manometry

Treatment: 

The standard treatment is conventional hernia-repair surgery, called herniorrhaphy. Laproscopic procedures are also done to treat hernia
