Haemorrhagic Stroke

Symptoms: 
  • Muscular weakness 
  • Paralysis of one side of the body
  • Bleeding
  • Decreased level of consciousness or altered level of consciousness
  • Difficulty speaking
  • Fainting, headache, seizures
  • Sensitivity to light or unequal pupils
Tests to diagnose: 
  • MRI (Magnetic resonance imaging) 
  • MRA (Magnetic resonance angiography) 
  • MRV (Magnetic resonance venography) 
Treatment: 

Emergency treatment is required for cerebral haemorrhage. It usually involves medication and close monitoring in an intensive care unit. In a few rare cases, surgery may be required to relieve pressure around the brain.
