Symptoms: 

The symptoms include:

  • Pain in the upper abdomen
  • Back pain between your shoulder blades
  • Nausea

Tests to diagnose: 

Blood and urine tests, Ultrasound scan, Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan, Computerised tomography (CT) scan and Endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP) are preformed to diagnose.

Treatment: 

There are two surgical techniques used to remove your gallbladder.

  • Laparoscopic cholecystectomy
  • Open cholecystectomy
