The main symptoms of filariasis are:
- Inguinal or axillary lymphadenopathy
- Testicular and/or inguinal pain
- Skin exfoliation
- Limb or genital swelling - Repeated episodes of inflammation and lymphedema lead to lymphatic damage, chronic swelling, and elephantiasis of the legs, arms, scrotum, vulva, and breasts.
