Simple weight control measures

A lot of us tend to worry about "putting on weight" and yet do not pay too much attention to what we eat and when !

One simple way of combating unnecessary weight (and waistline !) increase is to avoid having starchy food before sleep (or a prolonged period of inactivity). Starch which normally provides energy to the body, if not used/burnt up for energy, gets stored as fat cells leading to that slight increase in weight and waistline (which we would all like to avoid) ! At the same time the body needs starch and fatty foods as much as it needs vitamins and minerals! So it might be a good idea to move the starchy food to breakfast or lunch (before a period of some activity, so that way the body's needs are met and yet we do not put on ungainly weight!).

That part about avoiding starchy food at night, is easier said than done !!
